Las Vegas water is notoriously hard. If you've lived here for any amount of time, you already know the scale buildup, the dry skin, the spotty dishes. A lot of homeowners deal with these issues for years before finally deciding to do something about it. This was one of those homes - and we came in with a plan to fix it all at once.
We installed a Bradford White tank water heater with full copper piping, an expansion tank, and seismic strapping. That last part matters a lot in Nevada. Seismic strapping keeps the unit secured to the wall so it can't tip or shift - it's a code requirement here, and it's one of those things that separates a proper install from a rushed one. The copper piping runs clean and straight, wall-mounted and secure, exactly how it should be done.
Alongside the water heater, we installed a Novo Professional dual-tank whole-home water filtration system. This is not a basic filter you bolt onto a faucet. It's a full softening and filtration setup that treats every drop of water entering the home. Softer water means less scale on your appliances, better lathering soap, and water that's just easier on everything - your skin, your pipes, your water heater itself. The Novo control head gives the homeowner a simple interface to monitor and manage the system.
What we really like about doing these two installs together is the long-term payoff. Hard water is one of the biggest reasons tank water heaters fail early. Scale builds up inside the tank, the heating element has to work harder, and the unit wears out faster. By pairing the Bradford White with a proper filtration system, this homeowner is protecting their investment from day one. It's the kind of setup that just makes sense.
Every connection here was done right - wall-mounted copper runs, proper shut-off valves at the water heater, and a clean integration with the filtration system feed lines. No shortcuts. If you're in Las Vegas and your water heater is aging out, or you're tired of dealing with hard water, this is the kind of upgrade worth doing.
