Las Vegas doesn't give you much room for error when it comes to your HVAC system. The summers are brutal, and the winters - while short - can get cold enough that a failing furnace is a real problem. When a system goes down or reaches the end of its life, you want a full replacement done right, not just a quick patch job.
On this job, we replaced the entire system - outdoor condenser unit and a Goodman furnace tucked up in the attic. That combination gives the homeowner reliable cooling and heating from a single, well-matched setup. We handle both sides of the install because splitting the work between two different crews or two different system ages almost always causes problems down the road.
Up in the attic, the Goodman furnace is set up with proper flue venting, refrigerant lines, and a condensate drain system. Attic installs require attention to detail - there's not much room to work, and every connection has to be clean and secure. We don't rush that part. The coil housing, ductwork connections, and drain lines all need to be set correctly for the system to perform the way it should.
Outside, the condenser is positioned on a solid pad with a DiversiTech disconnect box mounted to the wall. We use a level during every install - that disconnect box needs to sit perfectly straight, and the condenser pad needs to be stable. It sounds like a small thing, but a unit that isn't level can wear unevenly and cause issues well before its time.
A full system swap like this - outdoor unit, attic furnace, all the connections in between - is the kind of work we do regularly across the Las Vegas valley. When everything is matched and installed correctly from the start, the system runs more efficiently, lasts longer, and the homeowner doesn't have to think about it for years.
